Warhammer 40k dawn of war II or Starcraft II?

i'm looking to buy one of these games after discovering a renewed interest in pc rts. which would you say is better? dawn of war 2 or one of the new starcraft 2 games?Warhammer 40k dawn of war II or Starcraft II?
Hey, glad you're back into rts, but DOWII and Starcraft II are both entirely different games. The only similarities they have are that they are both rts.



First, Starcraft II. It is your traditional rts game where you have to build bases, scramble to collect resources, upgrade and churn out troops to defeat your enemies. It's essentially Starcraft with better graphics and a few more troop choices. A traditional rts.



Warhammer 40k: DOWII, on the other hand, is completely different. Some hate it, some love it (for its differences). It has completely taken out base building - all your units come from your headquarters and upgrades are done in the field. Collecting resources are done simply (by capturing points/building power generators). The main focus of DOWII is micromanagement of the battlefield...you cannot just send troops out and watch it like traditional rtses. Minimalize the time spent in your base, maximize the time spent on the battlefield.



So basically...it's really up to your preference...traditional vs not-traditional. I for one, would say to buy both =P but i'll be slightly skewed in favour of Warhammer 40k as they will have much more races (12 in total in the Warhammer 40k universe) in the coming expansion packs.Warhammer 40k dawn of war II or Starcraft II?
