I don't know anything about the Warhammer 40000 universe. Will I still understand the story and gameplay of the "Dawn of War II" videogame?Do I need to have played "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War" to understand "Dawn of War II"?
Yes, the two games are fairly independent of each other, in terms of both storyline and gameplay. All you really need to know beforehand is that humanity has colonized the stars, and they have elite chapters of superhuman warriors called Space Marines. You're playing as the Blood Ravens chapter, and the rest pretty much gets explained to you in cutscenes and tutorials. Good luck!
